Graduating from University West of England, Bristol in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy, I have worked as an NHS and private physiotherapist within Bath and its surrounding area. During my career, I have worked increasingly with rehabilitating patients over 65 and have since gone onto specialise as a private physiotherapist for older patients. The joy of seeing patients regain their confidence, mobility and independence provides me with immense satisfaction. However, often older patients have difficulty in accessing a clinic, with travel or public transport often creating barriers to care. It was this dilemma that caused me to setup Bath Home Physio so that patients could receive access to the very highest level of physiotherapy direct from the comfort of their own homes.
In my free time I love spending time with my wife and two young children who keep me very active, watching my
beloved Bristol City play football on a Saturday afternoon and exploring the beautiful countryside around Bath.
Richard Mawditt BSc (Hons) MHCPC
As a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), I’m proud to be recognised to the highest standard as a private physiotherapist.
I have a number of health issues and balance problems and have been working with Richard for a few weeks now to improve my strength and balance. I am making good progress. He is very supportive and helpful in making suggestions for things I can do to improve outside of the sessions. Highly recommend.

All my private physiotherapy treatments are tailored to the over 65s and older persons, with a focus on preventing future injuries through regular one-to one physiotherapy and rehabilitation. I pride myself on offering a patient centred and empathetic approach that you can trust and feel secure in.
If you’re worried about a pain or have recently had a change in your life circumstances that’s meant your mobility has been reduced, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
