Frequently asked questions

How much does treatment cost?

Prices as of January 2026.

  • Up to 75-minute assessment: £110
  • 45-minute follow up appointments: £95
  • Block of 10 sessions: £900 (£50 discount)
  • Payment can be made via online BACS transfer, card  or cheque.
How long are the appointments?

I allow up to 75 minutes for my initial appointments, this extended appointment time is designed specifically to make you feel at ease, and allows you to communicate your problems, worries and concerns without feeling rushed.

Follow up treatment appointments are 45 minutes.

What happens during my first appointment?

The initial appointment typically takes between 60 and 75 minutes and is split in to three sections.

Subjective history

This involves me taking the time to listen and understand your concerns, what your problem is preventing you from doing, and what your overall goals are that you wish to achieve. Having a list of any medications you take, and past medical history documentation would also be useful for me to see.

Objective assessment

This will very much depend on what service your issue relates to (i.e., falls rehabilitation, general aches and pains, Pulmonary rehab etc.) and will be tailored to the individual. However here are some examples of what might be included in the assessment; assessing your range of movement in your joints, muscle strength, balance, co-ordination, proprioception, mobility and pain. It may be relevant for me to carry out a health check e.g., taking your blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate and assessing oxygen saturation levels.

If your condition requires a physiotherapy related diagnosis, then this will be given at this part of the appointment.

If appropriate, I can assess your home environment for any fall hazards, and look at potential modifications, aids or equipment that you might benefit from.

The aim here is to enable you to be as independent and safe as possible at home.

Treatment

I will then formulate a tailored treatment plan in order to accelerate your recovery and reach your goals in the quickest time possible. You will receive an example of either exercises or manual therapy during this initial session.

Can a family member be present?

Yes, of course, this would not be a problem.

What should I wear?

If possible, wearing loose fitting comfortable clothes would be preferable to allow me to properly assess. Wearing supportive, comfortable footwear is also advised.

Do you visit residential or nursing homes?

Yes, I visit residential and nursing homes. Unfortunately care homes are often short staffed and very busy and so rarely have time to do exercises and mobilise their residents. I can provide regular visits to do this and keep residents as strong and as mobile as possible.

What areas do you cover?

I cover the whole of the Bath area. A travel fee will apply if having to travel in excess of eight miles from Bath City Centre.

How soon can you see me?

I aim to see patients within a week of the first enquiry.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If an appointment is cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, then a full refund is given. If the cancellation notice is received within the 24-hour period before the appointment, then we reserve the right to charge the full fee.

What are your qualifications?

I have a BSc Hons Physiotherapy degree and I am registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). You can view my registration on the HCPC website Check the Register and find a registered health and care professional | (hcpc-uk.org). My registration number is PH101738.
